Freelance Entry Level - Midweight 3D Designer

Design F9 is a multidisciplinary construction design studio based in Southsea. The studio’s portfolio ranges from diverse and distinctive interior design projects for hospitality and retail to custom residences for private clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for confident Entry Level - Midweight 3D Designers to assist on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will work directly with our Lead Designer to assist in creating, executing, and implementing design solutions that inspire our clients. This individual would be someone who works well in a team, has an extremely strong work ethic, enjoys accomplishing tasks efficiently, and takes initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help establish design concepts for new projects and take responsibility for preparing high-quality design documentation for key stakeholders

  • Develop 3D models and renders for use throughout the design process to illustrate the design intent.

  • Develop design drawings (bespoke furniture, joinery, layouts, sections, and elevations) for the review of Lead Designer.

  • Mood boards, sample boards and other documentation for client presentations.

  • Assist Lead Designer with necessary prep for design meetings and presentations.

  • Work collaboratively with the design team to meet project deadlines and ensure a seamless process for all projects.

  • Manage multiple projects at once.

  • Initiate regular reviews at key design stages with Lead Designer.

  • Research technical solutions to detail design challenges.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of related experience in the Interior Design industry (Essential).

  • Degree in Interior Design or similar (Preferred).

  • SketchUp Pro proficiency (Essential).

  • AutoCAD proficiency (Essential).

  • SketchUp Layout (Preferred).

  • Knowledge of rendering software ideally Enscape (Essential).

  • Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator) proficiency (Preferred).

  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of construction documents (Essential) .

  • Time management skills (Essential).

  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency (Essential).

  • Ability to sketch/present ideas and concepts (Essential).

  • Design/construction problem solving. (Essential).

  • Team player, positive & pleasant attitude. (Essential)

  • Self- starter, strong work ethic, ability to produce quickly. (Essential)

TIME INVESTMENT:

This is a freelance position with an immediate start. Approx. 16-24 hours a week; flexible remote position.
